Bill Pinelli started with a single restaurant in 1988, when on Columbus Day of that year, Pinelli’s ‘Deli By Day and Café at Night’ in West Warwick opened its doors. With a lifelong love of food and a heritage of flavorful Italian cooking from his family’s kitchen, he went into the restaurant business after a successful career in hairstyling.

His philosophy has always been family oriented with pride in everything served.

Bill Pinelli’s original restaurant, Pinelli’s Deli By Day is warm and homey. It is a classic family operated deli, one of the true delis left in Rhode Island. “The Deli,” as hungry Route 2 patrons know, is the place to stop for lunch. The menu is large and impressive with great variety. At lunch, sandwiches and salads are all made to order. Many of the regulars come for the hot and hearty homestyle meals with potato and vegetable or Italian specialties from pasta to pizza served at lunch everyday.

The menu is ever-changing, built around Pinelli’s signature Italian specialties. The dishes are plentiful, affordable and very Italian.

Bill Pinelli’s Deli by Day, as Rhode Island’s foodies know, becomes the popular Café At Night with classic Italian favorites on the menu in an authentic atmosphere.

Friends and family gather, tables are filled and the homestyle dishes come out of the kitchen all evening long.

Signature Italian dishes in the Pinelli family tradition are the house specialty.

Pinelli’s Café at Night is a longtime Best of Rhode Island award winner for Best BYOB restaurant.

The cafe is open from 4:30 till Close Monday thru saturday
